Winter Greenhouse Temperature Management with Govee

As winter approaches, maintaining a consistent temperature in my greenhouse has become a priority. I’ve been experimenting with Govee smart devices to keep things running smoothly, and I’d love to share my setup and experiences!

I’ve set up a Govee smart space heater linked to a Wi-Fi hygro-thermometer, which automatically adjusts the temperature to keep it above freezing. To complement this, I’ve also been exploring thermal mass effects using black barrels filled with water to absorb solar heat during the day. Additionally, I’ve been utilizing the exothermic reactions in compost bins to generate a bit of extra heat.

It’s been fascinating to see how these methods work together. The tropical plants I’m trying to overwinter are only a few dollars each, but the real value is in the experiment itself. I’m curious to know if anyone else has tried similar setups or has tips for improving efficiency. What tricks do you use to maintain temperatures in your winter gardens?

The combination of Govee devices and natural heating methods has been a great learning experience. I’m excited to see how this setup performs through the colder months and to share any further insights I gain along the way!
