This winter, I decided to take my smart home setup to the next level by creating a festive lighting display using GOVEE’s smart LED strips. The goal was to automate the lights to turn on at sunset and cycle through different color schemes throughout the evening. Here’s how I made it happen!
First, I connected the GOVEE strips to my smart hub and set up a simple automation rule using my home automation platform. The rule checks the sunset time and triggers the lights to turn on with a warm white setting. As the evening progresses, the lights gradually shift to colorful modes, creating a magical ambiance.
One challenge I faced was ensuring smooth transitions between color schemes. After some experimentation, I found that setting a gradual transition time of 30 seconds worked perfectly. The result? A stunning, fully automated light show that brightens up the cold winter nights!
