Wyze Account Setup: One or Two?

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of Wyze devices lately, and I’ve got a question about account management that I’m hoping you all can help me with. Let me share my experience so far and see if anyone has insights or tips!

So, I’ve got a few Wyze devices already—smart plugs, a camera, a sprinkler controller, and now the Watch 47. All of these are registered under my existing Wyze account, which I set up using my email address. Everything has been working smoothly so far, which is awesome!

Now, the dilemma arises with my wife’s new Watch 44. Should I add it to my existing account or create a separate account for her? My initial thought was to set up her own account to keep things organized and ensure she only has access to her devices. But then I realized that if I log her Wyze app into my account on her phone, she’d still be able to see all my devices, like the camera and smart plugs, which might not be ideal.

On the other hand, having a single account could simplify things. I wouldn’t have to manage two separate accounts, and both of us could still access all the devices if needed. It might also make it easier to set up routines or automations that involve multiple devices across both our accounts.

I’ve heard mixed opinions from others in the community. Some swear by having separate accounts for better privacy and control, while others prefer the convenience of a single account. I’m leaning toward creating a separate account for her, but I’m not entirely sure if there are any drawbacks I’m missing out on.

Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation? How did you handle it? Any tips or experiences you can share would be super helpful! I’d hate to set things up the wrong way only to realize later that there’s a better approach.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
