Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to share an interesting experience I’ve been having with one of my Wyze Air Purifiers. It’s been acting a bit… peculiar, to say the least. Every time I turn it off for the night, it somehow powers back on by the morning. Sometimes, it even turns on while I’m still in the room, within an hour of me turning it off. I’ve checked all the settings in the Wyze app, and there’s nothing there that should be causing this behavior. No ‘Return to Clean Air’ settings or any rules that could be triggering it. My other two Wyze purifiers don’t have this issue, so it’s definitely isolated to this one unit.
I tried reaching out to Wyze support through their app, but it seems like they’re overwhelmed with pre-support questions, dropping me multiple times during the chat. After a few attempts, I decided to reset the unit by holding the power button for 10 seconds, delete the device from the app, and add it back to my Wi-Fi network. I’m currently waiting to see if the problem persists after this reset. If it does, I might have to consider requesting a warranty replacement, but I’m hopeful this reset will fix the issue.
I’m curious if anyone else has experienced something similar with their Wyze devices. Maybe there’s a setting or a workaround I’m not aware of. I’d love to hear your thoughts or any advice you might have. Thanks in advance for your help!
