I’ve been experimenting with integrating various smart devices into my home setup, and I’ve come across a couple of interesting issues that I’d like to share and discuss with the community.
First, I’ve noticed that when using the Wyze app on my Android tablet, there’s a significant drop in audio quality when listening to music through my headphones. This happens even when the app is running in the background, and I don’t have any cameras actively using sound. The audio quality improves once I close the Wyze app, which is a bit puzzling. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s not a major issue, but it’s definitely something worth exploring.
On another note, I’ve been having trouble with my Reolink PoE cameras. After a day or so, I can no longer watch any recordings. The preview doesn’t show up, and clicking to play just spins with a loading indicator. I’ve tried reformatting the SD cards, but the issue persists across both cards I’ve used. It works fine for the first day, but then stops again. I’m considering whether this is a compatibility issue or if there’s a workaround I’m missing.
I’d love to hear if others have encountered these problems and how they’ve resolved them. Maybe there’s a setting or configuration tweak that I’m overlooking. Let’s brainstorm together! ![]()
