Hi everyone! I wanted to share a curious issue I’ve been experiencing with my Wyze Bulb Color lights. I’ve been using Alexa to control them, but lately, they’ve been turning on by themselves at random times. It’s been a bit frustrating, especially when I’m trying to leave for work in the mornings—I’ve had to jump into the Wyze app twice to turn them off because they kept coming back on. I’m currently on the Beta version of the app, so I’m wondering if this could be a firmware bug or something else entirely.
I’ve tried a few troubleshooting steps so far. First, I checked if there were any scheduled routines or automations in the Wyze app that might be causing this. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary there. Then, I considered the possibility of interference from other devices, but I haven’t noticed any patterns that correlate with other smart home gadgets being used nearby.
Another thing I thought to try was resetting the bulbs to their factory settings and re-adding them to the network. That didn’t seem to help, though. I’m also curious if others have experienced similar behavior with their Wyze bulbs, especially those on the Beta app version. Maybe there’s a common solution or workaround that I haven’t heard about yet.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has encountered this issue and how they resolved it. Whether it’s a firmware update, a specific setting adjustment, or something else entirely, I’m all ears! Let’s brainstorm together and see if we can crack this mystery. Thanks in advance for any insights or advice you can share!
