I’ve been really enjoying integrating my Wyze bulbs into my smart home setup, but there’s one feature I’d love to see improved. Currently, I can only group bulbs individually or as all of them, but it would be fantastic to have the ability to create custom groups. For example, I’d love to group all the bulbs in my living room together without having to select each one individually in IFTTT. This would make creating routines and automations so much easier and more flexible. IFTTT integration could also benefit from more options, especially when it comes to grouping and scheduling.
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with the Govee API and stumbled upon an interesting challenge. I’m trying to set a “warm white” color temperature, but it seems I have to send two separate requests—one for the color and one for the temperature. This is a bit cumbersome, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to consolidate these requests into a single payload. If the payload capability supports passing an array, that would make things much smoother. I’ve been tinkering with the API documentation and even looked into some community experiments, but I’m still not quite there. Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
Overall, I’m really impressed with how far these devices have come, and I’m excited to see what improvements the future holds. Let’s keep the momentum going and make these APIs even more powerful and user-friendly!
