Wyze Cam as Truck Security: Tips and Tricks

I’ve been using a Wyze Cam in my truck for security purposes, and I wanted to share my experience and some tips that might help others. Security is always a concern, especially when leaving valuables in a vehicle, and having a camera inside the truck has been a game-changer for me.

Initially, I faced some challenges with the camera’s longevity. After a few months, the camera would stop working, forcing me to reset it. I discovered that running a simple extension cord from my house to the truck’s bumper provided a reliable power source. This setup has significantly reduced the frequency of resets and kept the camera operational for longer periods.

One thing I’ve learned is the importance of visibility. Even though the camera is inside the truck, simply having it visible on the dashboard acts as a strong deterrent. Potential intruders are less likely to tamper with the vehicle knowing they’re being recorded.

I’d love to hear from others who have similar setups or have found innovative ways to enhance their vehicle security. Any tips or tricks you’ve picked up along the way would be greatly appreciated! Let’s share our experiences and help each other improve our security measures.
