Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the WYZE Cam, particularly after a recent incident where it played a crucial role in a domestic disturbance across the street. The police were impressed by the video quality and sound, which made it easier for them to review the footage. However, I noticed a few areas where improvements could enhance the user experience.
First, the playback controls could use some work. I often found myself needing to download videos multiple times due to instability in the network connection. A feature that allows users to input specific timestamps for downloads would be incredibly helpful. Additionally, having a fast forward and rewind tool with both coarse and fine adjustments would make navigating through footage much smoother.
On the plus side, the affordability of the WYZE Cam is a huge plus. I was able to set up three cameras on another property without breaking the bank. The integration with Google Drive for easy sharing with family and friends is also a standout feature. I’ve even convinced a few friends and family members to switch to WYZE for their home security needs!
One feature I’m really hoping to see in the future is a dedicated doorbell cam. While I’ve been using a V2 on my porch, having a purpose-built solution would be amazing. Overall, I’m really impressed with what WYZE has to offer and will definitely be adding more cameras to my setup in the future. Keep up the great work, WYZE!
