Wyze Cam Motion Detection and Night Vision Issues

I’ve been having some trouble with my Wyze Cam lately, and I’m hoping to get some advice from the community. First off, I love the camera for its HD recording capabilities, but there are a few issues that have been bugging me.

  1. Motion Detection Outside the Area: The camera seems to detect motion outside the area I’ve set up. I’ve adjusted the motion zones in the Wyze app, but it still picks up movements that are well outside my intended monitoring area. Any tips on how to fine-tune this?

  2. Poor Night Vision: At night, the video quality drops significantly. I’ve tried tweaking the night vision settings, but it still doesn’t provide a clear picture. Is there a way to improve this, or is it just a limitation of the camera model?

  3. Missed Motion Events: I’ve noticed that some motion events are completely missed. For example, when someone walks into the area, the camera doesn’t always trigger a recording. I’ve increased the sensitivity settings, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Could this be related to the firmware or a connectivity issue?

I’ve also tried following the troubleshooting steps in the Wyze support articles, like resetting the camera and updating the firmware, but nothing has resolved these issues yet. I’m starting to wonder if there’s a hardware problem or if I’m missing something in the settings.
