Wyze Cam Offline Recording Issue

Hello fellow Wyze cam enthusiasts! I’ve been using the Wyze cam offline recording feature for over a year now, and it’s been a fantastic way to capture moments even when I’m off the grid. I’ve created some amazing time-lapse videos using this feature, and my friends and family have really enjoyed them. However, I’ve recently encountered a problem that’s quite disappointing.

I rely on a small travel router to power my Wyze cam and maintain a local network when I’m away from civilization. In the past, I could set up the cam, connect it to the router, and start recording without any issues. But now, when I try to use the Wyze app, it just shows a ‘No internet connection’ error, even though the cam is connected to the router. I’ve verified that the cam has an IP address and that my phone can ping it, so it’s definitely connected.

I’m really hoping someone out there has figured out a workaround or has some insight into why this is happening. If I can’t get this feature working again, I’ll have to resort to using an old GoPro for my time-lapse projects, which is a bit of a letdown. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s had similar issues or found a solution.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! Let’s keep those creative juices flowing!
