Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze Cam OG and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. First off, connectivity issues—I’ve had a bit of trouble with my camera disconnecting from the internet, which has been pretty frustrating. My wireless signal is strong, so that’s not the problem. The only way I can get it back online is by restarting my entire network, which is a bit of a hassle. I’ve heard some users have better luck with different camera models, so I might have to look into that in the future.
On the plus side, I’ve found a workaround for the storage side of things. I recently added a USB drive to my sync module to save on cloud storage costs, but I ran into an issue where the camera notifications would come through, but there were no clips to see. After some research, I realized I needed to ensure the USB drive was properly formatted and that the sync module was configured correctly. Once I got that sorted out, everything started working smoothly!
