Hi everyone, I’m reaching out regarding an issue I’m facing with my Wyze Cam Outdoor unit. It’s been a bit of a frustration lately, and I’m hoping to get some insights or solutions from the community.
So, the problem is that one of my V1 cams and my pan cam both have a constant yellow light. The light stays on for a minute or more, and then it turns off completely. This cycle is quite concerning, especially since these cameras are crucial for our home security. If they’re not functioning properly, it’s causing a lot of anxiety for me and my family.
I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps already. I’ve attempted to hold down the reset button to restart the cameras, but unfortunately, that didn’t work. The button doesn’t seem to register being pressed, which is perplexing. I’ve also tried using different Wyze cam cords and USB adapters, but the issue persists. Additionally, I unplugged the cameras and let them sit overnight, hoping that would reset them, but that didn’t help either.
I reached out to Wyze support, and they suggested the same reset method, which hasn’t resolved the issue. It’s disheartening because these cameras are supposed to be reliable, and this problem is affecting their functionality.
I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this issue and if they found a solution. Maybe there’s a firmware update or a specific setting that needs to be adjusted. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
In the meantime, I’m considering reaching out to Wyze support again to see if there are any other steps I can take. I’m also thinking about checking if there are any community-driven fixes or workarounds that others have implemented.
