I’ve been using Wyze Cams for a while now, and I’ve got to say, they’re a fantastic addition to any smart home setup! Recently, I decided to install a couple of them outdoors to keep an eye on my property. Let me share my experience and some tips I picked up along the way. 
First off, I wanted to make sure the cameras were secure and could withstand the weather. I drilled two small holes at the base of the camera housing and used screws to attach them firmly to the wall. This not only keeps them steady but also protects them from any potential tampering. 
Next, I had to figure out how to run the power cable without it being an eyesore. I drilled a 5/8 inch hole through the door jamb and carefully fed the wire through. To keep everything neat and weatherproof, I used some duct seal to cover the hole. It worked like a charm!
One thing I was worried about was the view being obstructed by windows or other obstacles. Lucky for me, installing them under the eaves gave me a much clearer and wider perspective. I could finally see the entire front of my house without any distortions. 
I also wanted to make sure the cameras were easily accessible for any future maintenance. By keeping the wiring organized and labeling everything, I saved myself a lot of hassle down the line. It’s the little things that make a big difference!
