Hey Wyze community! I’ve been using the Wyze Cam Pan cameras for a while now, and I’ve noticed something interesting. Both of my cameras seem to drift slightly over time, which means I have to manually reset their positions every few days. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I wonder if there’s a way to automate this process.
Currently, I have two waypoints set up on each camera, and they’re firmly mounted in place. Despite this, the cameras tend to drift to the left, which disrupts the consistency of my monitoring setup. To fix this, I have to go into the app, navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Motor Controls, and manually reset the position. It’s a straightforward process, but it would be so much more convenient if there was an option to schedule a daily automatic reset.
I can imagine how this feature could work. Maybe there’s a toggle in the firmware settings that allows users to enable a daily reset at a specific time. This would ensure that the cameras always start the day in the correct position, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. I think this would be a great quality-of-life improvement for users who rely on their Wyze Cam Pan cameras for consistent monitoring.
Has anyone else experienced this drifting issue? Would you also find value in a daily automatic position reset feature? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
