Hi everyone, I’ve been using the Wyze Cam Pan for a couple of days now, and I wanted to share my experience and a question I have about the notification delay. Overall, I’m really impressed with the camera’s features and performance for its price. It’s definitely a great option for budget-conscious users looking to enhance their home security setup.
However, there’s one issue that’s been a bit of a nuisance for me. The notifications for detected events are arriving sporadically and with a significant delay—sometimes up to 10 minutes after the event has occurred. This delay defeats the purpose of having real-time alerts, especially for something as important as home security. I’ve tried troubleshooting by resetting the camera, checking the network connection, and ensuring the firmware is up to date, but the problem persists.
I’d really appreciate any tips or suggestions on how to resolve this. Is there a setting I might have missed that could improve the notification timing? Could there be a firmware update or a workaround that I’m unaware of? I’d hate to have to return the camera, as it’s otherwise performing well in terms of video quality and ease of use.
Additionally, I’ve heard that there might be some issues with the camera’s integration with Samsung devices, particularly regarding volume controls. If anyone has encountered this or has found a solution, I’d love to hear about it as well.
Thanks in advance for your help! I’m really hoping to get this sorted out so I can fully enjoy the benefits of having a reliable security camera system.
