Hey everyone! I’ve recently encountered an issue with my Wyze Cam V2s, and I thought I’d share my experience and what I’ve discovered so far. Hopefully, this can help someone else out there!
So, the problem is that my Wyze Cams are recording continuously instead of only when motion is detected. I have one camera in a very static location, and even though I’ve turned on the ‘Record motion events’ option, it’s still recording non-stop. I’ve tried adjusting the sensitivity settings, but nothing seems to work. It’s a bit frustrating because I rely on these cameras for security, and continuous recording isn’t ideal.
I’ve reached out to Wyze support, but I thought I’d also check in with the community here. Maybe someone has encountered a similar issue and found a workaround. I’ve heard that sometimes firmware updates can resolve such problems, but I’m not sure if there’s an update available for my model.
In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with different settings and even tried resetting the camera to factory defaults. While that didn’t solve the problem, it was a good way to rule out any configuration errors. I’m also considering whether the camera’s placement might be causing the issue, but it’s in a spot where there shouldn’t be any false triggers.
If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, I’d be really grateful! I’m also curious if others are experiencing the same issue with their Wyze Cams. Let’s hope we can figure this out together!
Cheers,
