Wyze Cam v2 Motion Detection Issues and Solutions

I’ve been using Wyze Cam v2 for a while now, and it’s been a great addition to my smart home setup. The video quality and motion detection have been reliable, which is why I was a bit taken aback when the motion detection stopped working after a recent firmware update. Initially, I thought it might be a temporary glitch, so I rebooted the camera as I’ve done before to resolve similar issues. Unfortunately, this time the problem persisted even after a factory reset.

I decided to dig deeper and found that others in the community had encountered similar issues. It turns out that the firmware update might have caused some instability in the event recording feature. While I haven’t found a permanent fix yet, I’ve discovered a workaround that helps keep things running smoothly.

One thing I’ve learned is the importance of regular backups. I now make sure to back up my camera configurations periodically, which has been a lifesaver in case of any unexpected issues. I’m also keeping an eye on the Wyze community forums for any official updates or patches from the developers.

In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with different settings and configurations to see if I can stabilize the motion detection. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but it’s also been a great opportunity to explore more advanced features of my camera setup.

If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I’d love to hear your thoughts or any solutions you might have found. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other troubleshoot these kinds of problems!
