Wyze Cam V2 Night Vision Issues and Playback Problems

Hey everyone, I recently installed a couple of Wyze Cam V2s to monitor my garage and outdoor areas, and I must say, I’m pretty impressed with their overall performance. However, I’ve encountered a few quirks with one of them that I’m hoping the community can help me troubleshoot.

During the day, Cam 1 works perfectly, providing crisp and clear footage. But as soon as night falls, I notice horizontal lines across the画面 and the IR lights seem to wash out the画面 quite a bit. It’s almost like the camera is struggling to adjust to low-light conditions. Additionally, when I try to access the playback feature, it either doesn’t load at all or causes the camera to crash and reboot. This has been a bit frustrating, especially since I rely on these cameras for security.

I’ve tried a few things to resolve this. First, I checked the camera’s position to ensure it’s not facing any reflective surfaces that might be causing the IR lights to bounce back. I also updated the firmware to the latest version, but that didn’t seem to make a difference. I even swapped the SD card and USB cable, just to rule out any hardware issues. Unfortunately, the problems persist.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues with their Wyze Cam V2s. Are there any settings or adjustments I can make to improve the night vision quality? Maybe tweaking the exposure settings or adjusting the IR light intensity? I’m also curious if moving the camera to a different location might help, although I was hoping to avoid that if possible.

On a positive note, Cam 2, which is slightly farther from the router, hasn’t had any issues. It consistently delivers clear footage both day and night, and the playback feature works seamlessly. This makes me think that the problem might be specific to Cam 1’s placement or some unique environmental factor.

I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions the community might have. Whether it’s a simple fix or a workaround, I’m all ears. In the meantime, I’ll keep experimenting with different settings and positions to see if I can get Cam 1 up to par with its sibling.

Thanks in advance for your help, and I look forward to hearing from you all!
