I wanted to share my experience with setting up notifications for my Wyze Cam V2. I’ve been using it in Building A for a while now, and I’ve figured out a way to make the notifications work seamlessly with my schedule. I hope this helps someone else who might be struggling with similar settings!
So, here’s what I did: I set up a schedule to mute notifications between 10am and 10pm because I’m usually around and don’t want to be bothered by false alerts. But, I also wanted the notifications to activate if I leave Building A during those hours. I discovered that using rules alongside schedules is the key here. I created a rule that unmutes notifications when I leave, and it works like a charm!
Now, the tricky part was figuring out what happens when I return before 10pm. I wanted the notifications to automatically resume after 10pm without me having to manually toggle them. After some trial and error, I realized that the rule doesn’t override the schedule—it works in tandem with it. So, when I return, the schedule takes over again at 10pm, and everything falls back into place. It’s a bit of a workaround, but it’s effective!
