Wyze Cam V3 Connection Issues and Solutions

Hey all, I just got my hands on a Wyze Cam V3 and I’m trying to connect it to my ASUS RT-AC5300 router. I’ve followed all the steps, but I keep getting a ‘connection timed out’ error. I’ve tried using three different Android devices on the 2.4 GHz network with the Wyze app installed, and I’ve even disabled ‘Airtime Fairness’ on the 2.4 GHz band as suggested in some forums. During the last step, after scanning the QR code, the camera shows up on my router’s device list for a few seconds but then disappears, which is when the ‘connection timed out’ error occurs.

I’ve restarted my router, unplugged the camera for 10 seconds, and even tried a factory reset, but nothing seems to work. The strange part is that I can connect the camera to my secondary router from my internet service provider, but that’s not my main router, and I don’t want to switch routers every time I access my Wyze Cam. I’m wondering if there’s a specific setting on my main router that I’m missing or if there’s a workaround to get the camera connected without switching routers.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Wyze Cam V3 and the ASUS RT-AC5300 router? I’d love to hear any suggestions or solutions you might have. I’m really hoping to get this camera up and running without too much hassle!
