Hi everyone, I’ve been really impressed with my Wyze Cam V3 since installing it a few months ago. The video quality during the day is fantastic, and it’s been a great addition to my home security setup. However, I’ve noticed an issue that’s been a bit concerning, especially since I rely on the camera for nighttime monitoring.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve observed that the nighttime video quality seems to be significantly lower compared to my older Wyze Cam V2. Even though I’ve kept the settings identical between the two cameras, the difference is quite noticeable. The V3’s infrared lights, while effective, don’t seem to capture as much detail as the V2 did, making it harder to identify objects or people in the footage.
I’ve tried adjusting the camera’s position and ensuring there’s no direct light interference, but the issue persists. It’s particularly frustrating because I placed the V3 near a window, and during the night, it’s supposed to monitor any activity outside. The reduced quality makes it less reliable for that purpose.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their Wyze Cam V3? I’d love to hear if there are any settings adjustments or firmware updates that might improve the nighttime performance. I’m hoping there’s a fix because I’d really like to take full advantage of this camera’s capabilities.
Thanks in advance for any advice or insights you can share!
