Hello everyone, I’ve recently set up my Wyze Cam V3 and signed up for the Cam Plus free trial. I was excited to enable person detection under Wyze AI detection, as it seemed like a great feature to enhance my home security. However, I’ve encountered an issue where the ‘person’ or ‘Wyze AI detection’ options are missing from the notification settings, despite having the Cam Plus subscription active.
I followed the setup instructions carefully, enabling AI detection for person detection. Yet, when I navigate to the settings under ‘Event Recording’ and attempt to configure notifications, I only see options for ‘motion’ and ‘sound’. This is quite puzzling, as I expected the person detection feature to be available given the active subscription.
I’ve done some research and found that others have encountered similar issues, particularly with the free trial version. It appears that certain advanced features might be restricted or require additional configuration steps. I’m curious to know if anyone else has faced this problem and if there’s a workaround or solution to enable person detection notifications.
If anyone has successfully configured their Wyze Cam V3 to detect persons and receive notifications, I would greatly appreciate any tips or guidance. Additionally, if there are known limitations with the free trial that I should be aware of, please share your insights.
