Hi everyone, I’ve been having some trouble with my Wyze Cam v3 Pro not recognizing the SD card. I initially thought it might be a card issue, so I tried a new one, but the problem persisted. After some research and troubleshooting, I found a few solutions that might help others facing the same issue.
First, ensure your camera is running the latest firmware. Sometimes, outdated software can cause compatibility issues with new hardware. I updated mine through the Wyze app, and it made a noticeable difference.
Another thing to check is the SD card formatting. I formatted the new card using the ‘exFAT’ file system, which is compatible with Wyze cameras. If you’re using a different file system, that might be the culprit.
I also discovered that some SD cards, especially those with higher storage capacities, might not be fully supported by older firmware versions. If updating the firmware doesn’t work, consider using a lower capacity card that’s known to be compatible.
