First off, the slow notifications. I’ve noticed that sometimes there’s a significant delay—around 35 seconds—between when motion is detected and when I receive the notification on my phone. I’ve checked my internet connection, which is 100 Mbps, and the camera is only about 10 feet away from my router. I’ve also tried resetting the camera and the app, but the issue persists. It’s a bit frustrating because I rely on these notifications for security purposes, and a delay that long can be concerning.
Another issue I’ve come across is the speaker volume. While the speaker does work, it’s not loud enough for my liking. I’ve tried adjusting the volume settings within the app, but even at maximum, it’s still a bit too quiet. I’ve heard that some people use external speakers or integrate their cameras with other smart devices to amplify the sound, but I haven’t tried that yet.
On the positive side, I’ve found that the video quality is excellent, and the night vision works really well. The app itself is user-friendly, and I appreciate the customizable settings and integration with other smart home devices. It’s just these two issues that are holding me back from giving it a perfect score.
I’ve read some posts where others have experienced similar problems, and I’m curious if there are any workarounds or if Wyze is planning on addressing these issues in future updates. In the meantime, I’m considering reaching out to Wyze support to see if they have any suggestions or if there’s a beta version I can try.
