I recently set up my Wyze Cam v3 with a 32GB micro SD card, aiming to capture a two-week timelapse at a 5-minute interval. Initially, everything seemed to be working smoothly, but after just four days, I noticed that the card was nearly full. This was puzzling because I had disabled all motion and sound notifications to minimize data usage.
After some research and troubleshooting, I realized that the camera’s continuous recording feature was the culprit. Even though notifications were turned off, the camera was still recording frames at regular intervals, which quickly filled up the SD card. To address this, I adjusted the timelapse settings to a longer interval and ensured that only necessary recordings were enabled.
I also formatted the card again and cleared all existing data to start fresh. Now, the camera is running more efficiently, and I can enjoy my timelapse without worrying about the card filling up too quickly. It’s a great reminder to always double-check settings and understand how devices use storage! ![]()
