Hello everyone! I recently got a Wyze Cam V3 and set it up to record on sound detection. While I don’t need notifications, I wanted to be able to listen to the recordings. After some research and experimentation, I figured out how to do this from the app. Here’s what I learned:

Recording Settings: Go to the camera’s settings in the Wyze app. Under the ‘Motion Detection’ section, you can enable sound detection. This ensures that the camera records whenever it detects noise.

Local Storage: I wanted the recordings saved locally on the SD card instead of the cloud. Unfortunately, it seems like this feature isn’t available yet. However, I found that the app still allows me to access the recordings from my device, which works for my needs.

Playback: To listen to the recordings, simply go to the ‘Activity’ tab in the app. You’ll see all the recorded events. Tap on an event to play the audio or video.

Tips: If you’re using multiple cameras, organizing them by location or name helps keep track of recordings. Also, make sure your SD card has enough space to store all the clips.
