Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to share some challenges I’ve encountered with my Wyze cameras and Home Assistant setup. Hopefully, someone can shed some light or offer advice! ![]()
First, regarding the Wyze cameras, I’ve successfully set up one base with four outdoor cameras and two pan cams. However, I’m trying to expand my setup by adding another base for more outdoor cameras. Unfortunately, I’ve hit a snag. I’ve attempted to install two separate additional bases, but neither has worked. The device isn’t found, and when I try to bind the SSID, the Wyze app just shows a loading message before doing nothing. I’ve read there are known issues with Apple iOS, but I’m not sure if that’s the root cause here. Has anyone else experienced this, or do you have any troubleshooting steps to suggest? ![]()
On the Home Assistant front, I’m running into an upgrade issue. I’m trying to move from version 2024.10 to 2024.11, but the upgrade process fails. The error message points to an issue with one of my entity IDs being an email address. I suspect this might be related to a Google calendar integration I set up. I’ve tried adjusting the entity ID and enabling debug logging, but nothing has resolved the issue yet. I’d love to hear if others have encountered similar problems or have any tips for resolving entity ID conflicts. ![]()
In the meantime, I’m considering whether to return the problematic Wyze bases and cameras or wait for a potential iOS fix. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
