Hey everyone, I’ve been having some trouble getting my Wyze cameras to connect properly with my Netgear Orbi router. I’ve noticed that while most of my other devices with 2.4 GHz support connect without any issues, the Wyze cameras seem to struggle, especially when the router uses the same SSID for both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands. This has been a bit of a frustration, as I’d really like to take advantage of the Wyze cameras’ features without dealing with constant connectivity problems.
I’ve read that other manufacturers have found solutions for similar issues, so I’m hopeful that Wyze might be able to address this as well. In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with different network settings to see if I can find a workaround. For example, I’ve tried separating the SSIDs for the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands, but that hasn’t seemed to make a difference.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I’d love to hear if there are any solutions or workarounds that others have found effective. Also, if anyone has successfully connected their Wyze cameras with a Netgear Orbi router, I’d be grateful for any tips or tricks they might be willing to share!
It would also be great to hear if others have similar experiences or if this is specific to my setup. I’m hoping that by sharing my experience, I can help others who might be facing the same challenge and maybe even encourage Wyze to look into this issue more closely.
Looking forward to hearing from you all and hopefully finding a resolution soon!
