I’ve been experiencing some challenges with my Wyze cameras and Z-Wave network, and I wanted to share my experiences and seek advice from the community. Hopefully, someone can shed some light on these issues or offer solutions.First, regarding the Wyze cameras, I’ve noticed that the event recording feature has been acting up since the latest firmware update. Initially, after the update, the camera stopped recording motion and door sensor events. I tried the usual troubleshooting steps—rebooting the camera, checking network connectivity, and ensuring the sensors were properly paired. To my relief, a reboot resolved the issue temporarily. However, the problem resurfaced a few days later, and this time, rebooting didn’t help. The camera still doesn’t record events, and I’m not receiving any notifications. I’m wondering if others are facing similar issues or if there’s a workaround until Wyze releases a fix.On the Z-Wave front, I’ve been dealing with some network instability. A few devices, including a smart lock and a thermostat, have been dropping off the network intermittently. When this happens, I have to manually reinclude them, which is quite inconvenient. I’ve checked the battery levels, and they’re all good. I’ve also tried resetting the Z-Wave network, but the problem persists. It’s frustrating because I rely heavily on these devices for my daily routine. I’m curious if others have encountered this and how they’ve managed to stabilize their networks. In addition to these issues, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate more devices into my smart home setup. I recently acquired a set of Z-Wave switches that I want to use for controlling outdoor lights. However, I’m running into pairing difficulties. The switches need to be within close proximity to the hub, which isn’t always practical, especially for outdoor installations. I’ve heard that Z-Wave has a good range, but in my case, it seems hit or miss. I’m looking for tips on how to ensure a successful pairing, even when devices are placed farther away from the hub.I’d also like to share a positive experience with my Wyze thermostat. After installing a C-wire adapter, I noticed a significant improvement in temperature control accuracy. It’s now consistently maintaining the set temperature, which was a problem before the upgrade. This small change has made a big difference in my comfort at home.Overall, while I’m encountering a few hurdles, I’m still impressed with the potential of smart home technology. I’m hopeful that with the community’s help, I can overcome these challenges and continue expanding my smart home ecosystem. If anyone has insights or solutions for the issues I’ve described, I’d greatly appreciate your input. Thanks in advance for your support!
