Wyze Camera Experience and Shared Functionality

I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now, and overall, I’m really impressed with their performance and value for money. However, I’ve come across a couple of issues that I’d like to share and hopefully get some insights from the community.

First, regarding the shared functionality: I tried setting up my cameras so that both my husband and I can view them from our own phones. While the idea sounds great, I’ve found that sharing access doesn’t quite work as smoothly as I hoped. When I tried logging in with the same account on both devices, any changes I made on one phone affected the other. This is a bit inconvenient, especially since we have different preferences for notifications. I’d love to see a feature where each user can have their own settings without interfering with the other’s setup.

Another issue I’ve encountered is with the camera uploads. Occasionally, when motion is detected, I receive a notification, but when I try to view the footage, it says, “Failed to upload event.” This has happened more frequently since I upgraded to the Wyze Cam Membership. It’s a bit frustrating because I rely on these cameras for security, and missing footage isn’t ideal. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, did you find a solution?

On a more positive note, I’ve heard rumors that Wyze is working on a mop attachment for their vacuums, which would be a fantastic addition. I’m really looking forward to seeing what they come up with next!

Overall, I’m still a big fan of Wyze products, and I’m hopeful that these minor hiccups will be ironed out in future updates. If anyone has tips or workarounds for the issues I’ve mentioned, I’d love to hear them!
