Hey Wyze team and fellow users, I just wanted to share a fantastic idea that could really enhance the Wyze Cam experience, especially for those of us utilizing local storage on the camera’s SD card. ![]()

I absolutely love my Wyze Cams—they’re reliable, user-friendly, and have great features. But one thing that could make them even better is the ability to jump directly to the recorded video location from a motion notification. Here’s what I mean:
When I receive a motion detection alert on my phone, it would be amazing if I could tap a button or link that immediately takes me to the saved video on the SD card, starting a few seconds before the motion was detected. This would make reviewing and accessing clips much more efficient!
This feature would be incredibly useful for quickly reviewing incidents without having to manually search through hours of footage. Plus, it would make the local storage on the SD card even more valuable for security and monitoring purposes. ![]()

I’d also love to see the option to configure how far back the video starts—maybe 5-10 seconds before the motion trigger. That way, we can catch the full context of what’s happening. If the specific video isn’t available for a notification clip, the link could simply not appear, which would be a thoughtful touch. ![]()
I hope the Wyze team considers this suggestion! It could really take the camera’s functionality to the next level. Let me know if anyone else would find this feature helpful or if there’s already a way to do this that I’m missing. ![]()
Cheers to the Wyze team for creating such amazing products, and here’s to hoping for even more awesome features in the future! ![]()
