Wyze Camera Group Issue Solved with Unusual Workaround

I’ve been struggling with a peculiar issue with my Wyze cameras, and I thought I’d share my experience in case it helps anyone else out there.

For months, my wife and I noticed that only one of us could view our cameras at a time without the video stuttering and disconnecting. It was incredibly frustrating, especially since we both rely on the cameras for peace of mind.

After some digging, I stumbled upon a fascinating observation. Using my new router’s bandwidth monitoring feature, I noticed something odd: when viewing a single camera, all four cameras in the group were transmitting data simultaneously. That didn’t make much sense to me, but it gave me an idea.

I decided to ungroup all the cameras and see what happened. To my surprise, not only did the stuttering stop, but we could now view cameras on multiple devices without any issues! It was like a weight had been lifted.

While this workaround solved the problem, it’s definitely not ideal. I’d love to see Wyze address this in a future update so that grouped cameras don’t hog bandwidth unnecessarily.

If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I’d recommend trying the ungrouping approach. It might just be the unexpected solution you’re looking for! :dart::sparkles:
