Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze Pan Camera. I’ve had it for about six months now, and while it’s been a reliable device overall, I recently ran into an issue that had me a bit worried. Every time I inserted an SD card, the camera would display an error saying, ‘no video at the selected time.’ I tried five different SD cards, and each one gave me the same result. On my PC, it showed that the camera had registered the SD card, but I couldn’t access any recordings or even record new footage. I was on the verge of concluding that the camera was broken, especially since my other Wyze cameras have been working perfectly fine.
After some research and reaching out to the community, I found that this issue might be related to the camera’s firmware or a problem with the SD card formatting. I decided to try a few troubleshooting steps. First, I checked for any available firmware updates for the camera. Unfortunately, there weren’t any recent updates, but I made sure the camera was running the latest version. Next, I tried formatting the SD card on my computer using the exFAT file system, which is what Wyze cameras typically support. To my relief, this seemed to resolve the issue! The camera now recognizes the SD card and is recording footage without any problems.
I wanted to share this experience in case anyone else is facing similar issues. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s reassuring to know that the camera can still be fixed without having to replace it. I’m back to enjoying the peace of mind that comes with having a reliable security camera, especially in my current neighborhood where security is a top priority. If anyone else has encountered this problem or has additional tips, I’d love to hear about your experiences!
