Wyze Camera Local NAS Storage Solution and Qolsys Default Bypass

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a solution I found for storing Wyze camera footage locally on my NAS. After a lot of research, I realized that while Wyze doesn’t officially support direct NAS integration, using a network-attached storage with a compatible file system and mapping it through the Wyze app settings worked perfectly. I was able to bypass the 32GB SD card limitation by setting up a shared folder on my NAS and pointing the camera to that location. It’s a bit of a workaround, but it’s been reliable so far!

On another note, I’ve been using a Qolsys IQ panel and was struggling with having to manually bypass my motion sensors every time I armed the system. After some digging, I found that there’s a feature in the settings where you can configure default bypasses. This has saved me so much time and hassle! I just want to remind everyone to explore their panel’s settings menu—it might have hidden gems that solve common issues.

If anyone else has tips or tricks for optimizing their smart home setup, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep the sharing going.
