Hey everyone, I’ve been having this weird issue with my Wyze outdoor camera. It stopped recording motion events out of the blue, and I couldn’t figure out why. After some digging, I realized the video recording schedule was somehow turned off! I had never even touched that setting, so it was super confusing.
I reached out to Jason, who suggested checking the recording schedule. Sure enough, it was set to off! I flipped it back on, and everything worked perfectly for a few days. But then, BAM, it happened again. The schedule was off, and no motion recording was happening. This time, I knew exactly where to look and turned it back on without hesitation.
I’m still puzzled about why the schedule keeps turning off on its own. Is it a bug? Is there something I’m missing? I’d love to hear if anyone else has experienced this or has any ideas on how to prevent it from happening again. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the settings and hopefully won’t have to keep manually turning it back on.
In the meantime, I’ve learned to regularly check my camera settings to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s a good reminder to stay proactive with smart home devices. I’d appreciate any insights or tips others might have on this issue!
