Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze Cam V.3 and Wyze Cam Battery Pro regarding their SD card recording functionality. Initially, I was really frustrated because despite setting up the SD cards and formatting them as instructed, I wasn’t getting any video recordings. The cameras would alert me to events, but when I checked, there was nothing recorded—especially on the Battery Cam Pro, which was a letdown after the convenience of continuous recording I expected.
I tried everything from changing the recording settings to continuous, adjusting the sensitivity, and even formatting the SD cards again, but nothing seemed to work. It was really disheartening because I rely on these cameras for home security and peace of mind.
After some research and reaching out to the Wyze community, I found a solution that worked for me. It turns out the issue was with the SD card itself—specifically, the card wasn’t compatible with the camera’s recording requirements. Once I switched to a different brand of SD card with the same storage capacity, the recording started working perfectly.
I wanted to share this in case others are facing the same issue. If your Wyze camera isn’t recording to the SD card, try experimenting with different SD cards or checking the camera’s compatibility list. It might save you a lot of frustration!
