Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze Cam V4 in my driveway. I’ve been dealing with constant motion alerts due to the shadow of a tree, which was really frustrating. I tried turning down the sensitivity to 32, but it didn’t help much. I couldn’t just turn off motion detection entirely because I still wanted the smart detection features.
After some research and experimentation, I found a solution! I adjusted the camera angle slightly to minimize the shadow area and used the Wyze app to set up a custom motion zone that excludes the shadowy area. This has significantly reduced the false alerts.
