Hey everyone, I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now and they’ve been a great addition to my smart home setup. However, I’ve noticed an interesting issue with four out of my six Wyze Pan cameras. The blue status light, which is supposed to indicate connectivity and operational status, has stopped working entirely. This is puzzling because the cameras themselves are fully functional—connecting, streaming, and operating normally. The only thing missing is that reassuring blue light, which I find a bit concerning for monitoring purposes.I purchased these cameras at different times, so it’s unlikely to be a batch issue. I’ve reached out to Wyze support, but haven’t heard back yet. In the meantime, I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this or found a workaround. It would be great to hear if others have similar issues or if there’s a known fix.On a positive note, I’ve been really impressed with the Wyze Pan V2’s performance. The video quality is excellent, and the motion detection is reliable. I’ve even set up a few scenes using the Homey app to trigger notifications when motion is detected, which has been incredibly useful for monitoring my home while I’m away.Another thing I’d love to see from Wyze is a video doorbell option, similar to the Wyze Cam v2 but with a built-in button for wiring into an existing doorbell system. This would be a fantastic addition for those looking to upgrade their entryway security without the need for additional hardware. The current Wyze Cam v2 already has most of the features needed for a doorbell, so it would be a natural extension of their product line.If anyone has any tips or experiences to share regarding the status light issue or has successfully integrated Wyze cameras into their smart home setup, I’d love to hear about it! Happy tinkering everyone!
