Wyze Cameras: A Reliability Challenge

Hey everyone, I’ve been having a bit of a rough time with my Wyze cameras lately, and I wanted to share my experiences in case others are going through the same thing or might have some solutions.

So, I’ve been using Wyze cameras for about a year now, and for the first few months, they were absolutely brilliant. The V2s, V3s, and pan cams all worked seamlessly, and I couldn’t be happier. But over the past few months, things have taken a turn for the worse. My cameras have started randomly disconnecting and reconnecting, and it’s become a real headache.

Here’s what’s been happening: some cameras come back online after a while, but others just stubbornly refuse to reconnect, no matter what I try. I’ve powered down and rebooted the router and cameras, reinstalled memory cards, reset the network on my Android phone, and even moved some cameras right next to the router to see if that helps. Nothing seems to work consistently.

It’s frustrating because all my other devices—phones, laptops, everything else on my Wi-Fi—are rock solid. Only the Wyze cameras are acting up. I’ve even considered that maybe a recent update messed things up, but I’m not sure.

At this point, I’m really questioning whether Wyze is the right choice for me. I used to love these cameras, but now I can’t recommend them to anyone. The unreliability is just too much. Plus, with the prices going up and the new features feeling a bit like a cash grab, it’s hard to justify sticking with them.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues? I’d love to hear if there are any fixes or workarounds out there. Maybe I’m missing something simple? Let me know what you think!
