Wyze Cameras and Firmware Update Issues

Hello everyone, I’m thrilled to be part of this community as I embark on my smart home journey. I recently installed a few Wyze cameras around my home, and I must say, they’ve been a fantastic addition. The setup was straightforward, and the video quality is impressive, especially during the day. However, I’ve encountered a puzzling issue that I hope you can help me with.

A week ago, I noticed that my Wyze cameras were behaving oddly. They would occasionally disconnect from the network, and the night vision feature, which I rely on, started showing a strange haze. I thought it might be a temporary glitch, so I decided to update the firmware to the latest version available. Unfortunately, the update didn’t resolve the issue; instead, it seemed to worsen the problem.

I tried resetting the cameras to their factory settings, but that didn’t make a difference. The haze in the night vision is now more pronounced, and the cameras frequently drop offline. I’ve checked the network settings and ensured that the cameras are on the correct Wi-Fi band, but nothing seems to help. I’m concerned that this might be a recurring issue with the firmware update, and I’m wondering if others have experienced something similar.

Has anyone else faced issues with their Wyze cameras after a firmware update? I’m particularly interested in knowing if others have resolved this haze problem or if there’s a workaround for the connectivity issues. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help. I’m hopeful that we can find a solution together and that my cameras can return to working smoothly. It’s been a bit frustrating, but I’m determined to get this sorted out. Looking forward to hearing from you all!
