I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now, and I must say, they’ve been a great addition to my smart home setup. However, there’s one feature that’s been on my mind lately. I have cameras installed in different parts of my house, each in different rooms, and I’d really like each camera to record and report events according to its local time zone.
Currently, all my Wyze cameras are synchronized with my phone’s time zone, which means if I have a camera in a different room (or hypothetically, in a different country), it doesn’t log the events according to the local time. This could be incredibly useful, especially if I were to expand my setup to monitor properties in other regions.
I’ve tried looking into the settings, but unfortunately, it seems like individual time zone adjustments aren’t an option. I wonder if this is something that could be considered for future updates. Being able to set each camera to its own time zone would add a layer of flexibility and precision to my monitoring setup.
It’s also a bit puzzling why this feature isn’t available yet, considering how Wyze cameras excel in other areas like video quality and ease of use. I’m hopeful that the Wyze team might look into this request. Until then, I’ll keep enjoying the reliability and simplicity that Wyze cameras bring to my smart home.
