Wyze Devices: A Mix of Convenience and Challenges

Hi everyone, I’ve recently been exploring Wyze devices for my home automation setup, and I must say, it’s been quite an interesting journey. Let me share my experiences with you.First off, I’ve installed two Wyze Cam V3 cameras around my home. They’re fantastic for monitoring activity, and the video quality is impressive. However, I’ve encountered a peculiar issue with the included Wyze memory cards. Despite being brand new, the cameras don’t recognize them. I’ve seen others facing similar problems, so I’m curious if there’s a workaround or if this is a common defect. Has anyone else had success with these cards?Another device I’ve been testing is the Wyze Floodlight Pro. It’s been a great addition to my outdoor security setup, but I’ve run into a snag with its automation. I set up a rule where motion detected by Floodlight #1 would trigger Floodlight #2 to turn on. The problem? The lights stay on indefinitely. I’ve read forum posts suggesting a time-based action rule, but it doesn’t seem to work. Is this a bug, or am I missing something in the setup?Lastly, I’ve been using the Wyze doorbell, which has been reliable, but I’ve noticed significant data usage. Over just two weeks, it consumed nearly 900MB of data, which is concerning. It seems to send unnecessary images when shadows from wind-blown trees trigger motion. I’d hate to pay extra for data due to this. Has anyone found a way to optimize this?Despite these challenges, I’m really impressed with Wyze’s offerings. Their devices are affordable and offer great features. I’m hopeful that with some tweaking and community support, I can get everything working smoothly. If anyone has insights or solutions, I’d love to hear them!Cheers, [Your Name]
