Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my experience with the new Wyze Home Monitoring Service. I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now, and while they’ve always been reliable, there was one issue that really bothered me—the delay in person detection notifications. Before setting up the Home Monitoring Service, there were times when it would take up to 5 minutes for me to receive a notification after someone walked in front of the camera. It was frustrating, especially when I was expecting guests or monitoring the house while away.
After setting up the Home Monitoring Service, I was pleasantly surprised by the drastic improvement in response time. Now, notifications come through in less than 5 seconds! It’s almost instantaneous. I’m curious if this faster response time is because the person detection processing is now happening locally on the new base station instead of being sent out to AWS servers. If that’s the case, this is a huge selling point for Wyze’s Home Monitoring Service.
This improvement has made me more confident in relying on my Wyze cameras for real-time monitoring. I’m even considering adding more cameras around my property now that I know notifications will be so much faster. If anyone else has noticed similar improvements or has insights into how this service works, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks for reading, and a big shout-out to Wyze for continuously improving their products! ![]()
