Hi everyone,
I’ve recently installed the Wyze Lock on my front door, and I must say, the setup process was incredibly straightforward. The app-guided installation made everything feel seamless, and I was up and running in no time. The lock itself is sleek and blends perfectly with my door’s existing hardware, which is a huge plus for maintaining the aesthetic of my home.
However, I did come across a minor issue that I thought I’d share in case others have experienced the same or might have a solution. I noticed that when I press the lock button on the Wyze keypad, it engages the lock even if the door is slightly ajar. Ideally, I’d expect the lock to either refuse to engage or at least give a warning beep or light flash to indicate that the door isn’t fully closed. This is similar to how the Wyze app behaves—allowing you to lock the door even if it’s open. I’m curious if others have encountered this or if there’s a setting I’m missing that could address this.
On a positive note, the integration with my existing Wyze security system has been flawless. The lock syncs perfectly with my Wyze cameras and motion sensors, creating a cohesive security setup that gives me peace of mind. The app notifications are timely, and the ability to monitor and control the lock remotely is a fantastic feature.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has faced this issue or has any tips on how to resolve it. Otherwise, I’m really satisfied with the Wyze Lock and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home security without breaking the bank. Keep up the great work, Wyze! ![]()
