The app notifications are prompt, and the lock mechanism is smooth and reliable. It’s the little things, like receiving a notification every time the door is locked or unlocked, that make a big difference in feeling secure.
However, I’ve encountered a couple of issues that I hope to address. The first is a consistent time discrepancy in the event logs. The lock shows events with a time that’s off by about two hours and fifteen minutes. This inconsistency makes it difficult to accurately track when certain events occurred, which is a bit frustrating. I’ve reached out to Wyze support regarding this, but I’m still waiting for a resolution.
Another issue I’ve noticed is that the event list under the lock isn’t updating properly. Despite multiple locking and unlocking events occurring throughout the day, the app only shows events from the previous night. This gap in the event history is concerning, as it limits my ability to monitor activity accurately. I’ve tried troubleshooting by resetting the lock and ensuring a stable internet connection, but the problem persists.
Despite these challenges, I remain optimistic about the Wyze Lock. The convenience it offers far outweighs the minor issues I’ve encountered. I’m hopeful that Wyze will address these bugs in future updates. In the meantime, I’ll continue to use the lock and appreciate the innovative features it brings to my smart home setup.
