Hey everyone, I’m reaching out about an issue I’ve been having with my Wyze outdoor camera. It’s equipped with Cam Plus, and while it’s been a great addition to my security setup, I’ve noticed some inconsistencies with its motion detection capabilities.
I mounted it above my garage door, and while it does occasionally detect motion, it’s hit or miss. For instance, it reliably catches me when I drive out of the garage, but it often misses when I return. The mail carrier, dog walkers, and even me walking across the PIR field for testing are frequently not detected. This has been quite frustrating, especially since I rely on it for monitoring.
I reached out to Wyze support and followed their troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists. I’ve adjusted the distance and sensitivity settings multiple times without any improvement. At this point, I’m curious if anyone else has encountered similar problems or has any additional suggestions or workarounds they could share.
