Wyze Pan Cam Frequent Resetting Issue Solved

Hi everyone, I’ve been having a bit of trouble with my Wyze Pan Cam lately, and I thought I’d share my experience in case it helps someone else. Over the past week, my camera has been going offline almost daily, which is pretty frustrating. Every time it happens, I have to manually reset it to get it back online. I tried using the remote relay to cycle the power, and that worked temporarily, but it was just a Band-Aid solution.

I decided to dig deeper into the issue. First, I checked the firmware version, which was 4.10.8.1002, and the app version was 2.30.0. I wondered if there was a newer firmware that might fix the problem, but it seemed like I was already on the latest version. I also considered the possibility of network issues, so I tested the camera’s connectivity and found that it had a strong signal. Strangely, I could still view the live feed even when the camera was reported as offline, which was confusing.

After some research, I came across a forum post suggesting that sometimes the camera’s internal settings can cause it to disconnect. I decided to try resetting the camera to its factory settings. It was a bit nerve-wracking because I’d set it up just right, but I followed the steps carefully: holding down the reset button for 10 seconds until the LED flashed red. Once it restarted, I reconnected it to my network and was pleasantly surprised when it stayed online for more than a day without any issues.

I also took the opportunity to update my Wyze app to the latest version, just to be thorough. Since then, the camera has been working perfectly. I guess sometimes a fresh start is exactly what’s needed!

If anyone else is experiencing similar problems, I’d recommend checking for firmware updates, ensuring your network connection is stable, and as a last resort, performing a factory reset. It might seem drastic, but it worked wonders for me. Let me know if you have any other tips or experiences with Wyze cameras—I’d love to hear them!
