Hi everyone, I’m curious to know if anyone has successfully integrated their Wyze Pan Cam V3 with an Amazon Echo Dot. I recently purchased both devices and am excited about the potential for seamless integration, but I’m running into a few questions.
First, I want to ensure that the Wyze Pan Cam V3 is fully compatible with the Echo Dot. I’ve heard great things about Wyze cameras for their affordability and features, and the Echo Dot for its voice control capabilities. However, I’m not entirely sure how the two devices communicate. Does the Echo Dot support Wyze’s APIs, or will I need additional software or apps to bridge the gap?
I’ve also come across some discussions about setting up routines using Alexa. For example, I’d love to say, ‘Alexa, show me the backyard camera,’ and have the Echo Dot automatically display the Wyze Pan Cam V3 feed on my smart TV or another connected device. Is this possible? If so, what steps are involved in configuring such a routine?
Another thing I’m curious about is motion detection and notifications. Can the Wyze Pan Cam V3 send alerts to the Echo Dot when motion is detected? I’d like the Echo Dot to play a custom message or sound when the camera detects movement, especially for security purposes.
I’ve started exploring the Wyze app and Alexa app to see what integrations are available, but I’m still a bit overwhelmed. Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Looking forward to hearing from the community and hopefully finding some answers. Thanks in advance for your help!
