Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze Pan camera and a small issue I’ve been dealing with. I’ve had my Wyze Pan for a few months now, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. The video quality is great, and the motion detection works perfectly. However, I’ve noticed a slight delay in the video feed, anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds. This isn’t a huge problem, but it’s something I’d like to address if possible.
I’ve done a bit of research and reached out to the Wyze community to see if anyone else has experienced this. From what I gather, it seems like the delay is relatively common, especially if you’re streaming video over Wi-Fi. I’ve tried a few things to see if I can reduce or eliminate the delay:

Strengthening the Wi-Fi Signal: I moved the camera closer to my router and ensured there were no obstructions between them. This helped a bit, but the delay is still noticeable.

Switching to Ethernet: I tried connecting the camera directly to my router using an Ethernet cable. This made a significant difference! The delay was reduced to almost nothing. Unfortunately, running an Ethernet cable to where the camera is mounted isn’t very practical for me.

Installing a microSD Card: I’ve heard that some users have found improvement by installing a microSD card for local storage. This way, the camera can stream video directly from the card instead of relying solely on the network. I plan to try this soon and will update the community on my findings.
